December 9 - 11
Victoria University are hosting another CS4HS workshop from December 9 - 11 at their Kelburn Campus in Wellington.
The workshop will be held in the School of Engineering and Computer Science's Cotton Building facilities, and will be aimed at both beginner and experienced teachers looking to use the NCEA digital technology standards.
Venue
The workshop will be held on the Kelburn Campus. Here are links to a
Kelburn Campus map and
Wellington City map. Please note that on the Wellington Downtown Map, Victoria University is not marked but is in the large open area bordered by The Terrace at the bottom, and Salamanca Road on the right.
Accommodation
Attendees from out of town will be staying at
Te Puni Village, one of Victoria University's newest student accommodation centers, and only a few minutes walk from the workshop venue. Accommodation is provided free of charge to all out of town attendees.
Internet
Wireless internet access will be available during the workshop both at the venue and the accommodation, although will be stronger at the venue.
Things to Do Before Arriving
If you're flying or driving into Wellington, we can reimburse you most (if not all) of your travel costs. We'll need bank account details to reimburse costs to, and we thank the
IITP for assisting with this.
If you are intending on driving in, we can arrange coupons for parking, but note that there isn't any available parks at the University between 8am and 6pm. There are coupon parking zones around the University however. Please let us know if you intend on driving in, as parks even in the coupon zones will be limited. If you wish instead to park at one of the large private car parks in Wellington, we can reimburse parking costs for that instead.
