Qualifications

Ph.D., Physics, Massey, M.Sc. Electronics (First class honours), Massey, B.Sc. Electronics (Massey Scholar), Massey, NZCE Electronics and computer technology

Research Interests

My interest is the development of scientific, industrial and educational instruments. Some examples are:
  • Portable NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) spectrometers using Radio Frequency (RF), digital transceiver, Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and power electronics technologies.
  • Earth's field NMR systems for education and for the study of the microstructure of Antarctic sea ice.
  • High performance motor controllers and drive systems for Rheo-NMR.

Many of my projects are taken to the complete product level and are commercialised through Magritek Ltd.
