Abstract
C*-algebras were developed in the 1940s for applications to quantum physics. These objects have many moving parts, making them hard to handle, but models based on directed graphs (and their generalisations) can help. Though the assumption of 'finite alignment' is typical in such models, we propose to investigate the non-finitely aligned case, and we use a 'grading' to maintain some control over the model.
