Join the innovative team at Wheelers, a large New Zealand library supplier providing outsourced selection, cataloguing and processing services.

We are offering an exciting opportunity to an outstanding recent graduate, or soon to be graduate,  achieving high marks in cataloguing/metadata papers with a view to building their cataloguing career at Wheelers.

Wheelers has a large team of experienced cataloguers and offers the opportunity to develop your practical cataloguing skills with coaching from experienced cataloguing mentors in our “Wheelers Cataloguing Training Program”.

We offer genuinely flexible working hours and the potential to work some hours from home once you are a fully independent cataloguer.

Cataloguers at Wheelers are responsible for performing a variety of bibliographic duties in the customers’ Library Management Systems, including original cataloguing and bibliographic record upgrades of books and DVDs. Cataloguing is done according to national and international practices and standards (RDA, AACR2, MARC21, LCSH, LCNA and Dewey 23) as well as customer requirements. Cataloguers will function as part of a team of professionals and paraprofessionals to ensure that outgoing materials meet company standards in terms of quality, timeliness and quantity.

The pay rate is competitive, and will be commensurate with skills and experience.

Wheelers is based on the North Shore of Auckland, just off the motorway in Glenfield.
