The RDA countdown clock has now appeared at the top of the Original RDA Toolkit, reminding libraries to prepare for the transition to Official RDA - The Countdown Clock and Transitioning to Official RDA | ALA RDA Toolkit

The National Library is continuing its work to support New Zealand libraries in transitioning to Official RDA. As part of this, we will provide a mapping of MARC 21 fields to the Official RDA elements used by the National Library of New Zealand. This resource will be made available to the library community in July 2026, and we encourage libraries to use it as a foundation for developing their own context-specific documentation.
