Become a part of an innovative team at Wheelers, a large New Zealand library supplier providing outsourced selection, cataloguing and processing services.
Wheelers is seeking a professionally qualified cataloguer with at least 3 years’ recent cataloguing experience. The cataloguer will be responsible for performing a variety of bibliographic duties in the customer’s Library Management System, including original cataloguing and bibliographic record upgrades of books and DVDs. Cataloguing is done according to national and international practices and standards (RDA, AACR2, MARC21, LCSH, LCNA and Dewey 23) as well as customer requirements. The cataloguer will function as part of a team of professionals and paraprofessionals to ensure that outgoing materials meet company standards in terms of quality, timeliness and quantity.
Experience with original cataloguing and cataloguing of DVDs would be an advantage but training will be provided
The pay rate is competitive, and will be commensurate with skills and experience. Flexible family friendly working hours may be discussed at the interview.
Wheelers is based on the North Shore of Auckland, just off the motorway in Glenfield.
