Apologies for cross posting New challenges, new opportunities for the right cataloguing librarian The Library Supply Company needs an enthusiastic and highly motivated librarian for a full-time position in our bibliographic services team. You probably know of us because we provide services to public libraries and schools throughout New Zealand. We specialise in the supply of large print and unabridged audio books. We also supply music CDs, DVDs, language learning courses and other audio visual materials. Our clients rely on us increasingly for collection management and cataloguing services ... and that's where you come in. We'd like to hear from you if you have expertise in: * MARC format * AACR2 (level 2) * Non-print materials - music CDs, DVD and multimedia * Cataloguing for New Zealand public library collections You'll be cataloguing a range of formats - especially AV materials - in a variety of databases. You'll also be working with client libraries to help them establish clear cataloguing specifications. We'll be relying on your excellent IT skills, a near-obsessive respect for deadlines and the ability to prioritise and organise work. Familiarity with at least one major Library Management System would be an advantage. The money's highly competitive.
