CatSIG is currently working with Deborah Fritz from The Marc of Quality to provide training in copy-cataloguing between late August and the end of October 2013. Workshops will be offered as 1-day sessions, both face-to-face and online using the Go To Meeting software.

Deborah's course is RDA/MARC for copycats: searching, matching & essential editing. More information on the content may be found at http://www.marcofquality.com/trn/trnindex.html.

CatSIG is able to provide substantial sponsorship this year to enable as many librarians as possible to participate in this training, but the final cost to each participant will depend on the level of interest received. Preference will be given to those who have not already completed an Original cataloguing in RDA course.

CatSIG asks for expressions of interest providing the following information:

Name of participant/s:

Library name:

Preferred location:

Face-to-face or online?

Please direct any questions to Janess Stewart at janess.stewart@dia.govt.nz or phone 04-4743118. Expressions of interest should be sent to catsigcommittee@gmail.com by Wednesday June 5th, 2013.

Regards
Janess
