Kia ora koutou,

The June 2026 update of the Official Resource Description and Access (RDA) Toolkit is now live. We are delighted to share that this release includes 287 newly added and changed policy statements from Te Puna Mâtauranga o Aotearoa National Library of New Zealand (NLNZ). Every element page and option in the Toolkit is now supported by a corresponding NLNZ Policy Statement.

We have also updated our NLNZ Guidance and NLNZ Encoding documents, providing additional support for descriptive practice in Aotearoa New Zealand. For a full overview of our approach to resource description using RDA, and links to all our supporting documentation please see our page NLNZ approach to resource description.
