***LIANZA CONFERENCE SPONSORSHIP***

Would you like to attend this year's LIANZA conference - for free??

CatSIG, LIANZA's Cataloguing Special Interest Group, is offering sponsorship for one member to attend the LIANZA Conference 2011, Te Ihi, Te Wehi, Te Wana - Passion, People and Power.  This will be held at the Wellington Convention Centre, from 30 October to 2 November.

Sponsorship will cover the registration fee and up to $750 for travel and accommodation costs. 

To apply, please write 1-2 paragraphs stating your reasons for applying for sponsorship, the year you last attended a LIANZA conference, your background and work experience, and the insights and learning that you expect to gain from attending. You must also provide written confirmation from your employer that, if successful, you will be given leave to attend. You must be a CatSIG member to apply (or be willing to become one).

Consideration will be given to the following criteria:

*     How you and/or your organisation would benefit professionally from attendance

*     Evidence of enthusiasm, commitment and passion for cataloguing

*     Difficulty of attending the conference without sponsorship

The successful applicant will be required to write a short report which will be included in Catapult - CatSIG's quarterly newsletter.
