and a delegate for Asia Pacific on the OCLC Global Council will present on the
new OCLC governance structure, the development of the OCLC Asia Pacific
Regional Council, its achievements to date, and current issues.

Place, Place as Library: A Dialogue on Duality and the Power of
Cooperation". Karen will also allow time for questions and
discussion at the end of her presentation.
Abstract: This talk
will explore the turbulent conditions in which libraries are evolving as both
places and virtual spaces on the Web. How are these conditions driving change
in library collections, catalogues, and cooperative systems? What are OCLC's
strategies for helping today's libraries gain visibility and impact through
cooperation and data sharing? If we were building a system for library
cooperation today, what would it look like?

publications that are preserved in the National Digital Heritage Archive
without copyright restrictions. Linda will present from a selection
and acquisition perspective and Andrew from the technical perspective.
