[apologies for cross-posting]
Kia ora,
The November meeting of the
RDA Steering Committee (RSC) is to be held next week in Washington, D.C., hosted by the Library of Congress.
There is a public session of the RSC's meeting which will cover the four proposals and one discussion paper that have been previously circulated for comment. These include our Oceania proposal to have an option added to allow for dual-language names of places
and corporate bodies.
In addition, there is an outreach day including Renate Behrens talking about the DACH implementation of Official RDA by the Germans, and Sally McCullum from the Library of Congress talking about RDA with BIBFRAME, and I will also be presenting about the implementation
at National Library of New Zealand.
Public session - Wed 13 November
Start at 3am AWST / 6am AEDT / 8am NZDT
Outreach presentations - Thurs 14 November
Start at 12:30am AWST / 3:30am AEDT / 5:30am NZDT
For those who don't want to commit to the early start, there will also be recordings of the outreach presentations available to view later. Note that the public session will not be video recorded but will be summarised in the minutes released after the meeting.
ngà mihi,
Charlotte Christensen
Oceania region representative to the RDA Steering Committee
