The National Library is in the early stages of planning a two-day Te Puna Libraries’ Forum. The purpose of these days is threefold:
- You may be aware that the National Library, in conjunction with a range of libraries around the country, has undertaken work that looked at ways
libraries can gain maximum value from their Te Puna subscription. Library leaders are invited to workshop the findings on 1 April.
- We have invited speakers who will be able to talk about ‘library matters’ from an international perspective
- Debbie Campbell who will talk about "Libraries Australia & Trove future plans"
- A speaker from OCLC (yet to be confirmed)
- The first day will be devoted to the main users of Te Puna services: cataloguers and interloan librarians. To help us make this day as useful as
possible we would like you to vote (http://www.natlib.govt.nz/surveys/shaping-future-te-puna-services ) for the most important items you’d like to see on the programme.
We'd like to hear from you before close-of-business Thursday 16 December.
We will send the full report as well as some business model choices for future service delivery in the week prior to the Forum.
In the mean time:
