Join the innovative team at Wheelers, a large New Zealand library supplier providing outsourced selection, cataloguing and processing services. We are seeking professionally qualified cataloguers for our growing business and we are offering attractive terms.    Work is full-time or part-time and we offer genuinely flexible working hours including school hours and the potential to work some hours from home. Cataloguers at Wheelers are responsible for performing a variety of bibliographic duties in the customers’ Library Management Systems, including original cataloguing and bibliographic record upgrades of books and DVDs. Cataloguing is done according to national and international practices and standards (RDA, AACR2, MARC21, LCSH, LCNA and Dewey 23) as well as customer requirements. Cataloguers will function as part of a team of professionals and paraprofessionals to ensure that outgoing materials meet company standards in terms of quality, timeliness and quantity. At least 3 years’ recent cataloguing experience is preferred. Experience with original cataloguing would be an advantage but training will be provided. The pay rate is competitive, and will be commensurate with skills and experience. Wheelers is based on the North Shore of Auckland, just off the motorway in Glenfield.
