LIANZA 2010 conference - sponsorship opportunity
CatSIG, LIANZA's Cataloguing Special Interest Group, would like to sponsor one person to attend the LIANZA Centennial conference: At the Edge -- Te Matakāheru. This will be held from 28 November - 1 December 2010 in Dunedin, New Zealand. Sponsorship will cover the registration fee and reimbursement of up to $500 for travel and accommodation costs. To apply, please write 1-2 paragraphs stating your reasons for applying for sponsorship, the year you last attended a LIANZA conference, your background and work experience, and the insights and learning that you expect to gain from attending. You must also provide written confirmation from your employer that, if successful, you will be given leave to attend. You must be a CatSIG member to apply (or be willing to become one). Consideration will be given to the following criteria: * How you and/or your organisation would benefit professionally from attendance * Evidence of enthusiasm, commitment and passion for cataloguing * Difficulty of attending the conference without sponsorship The successful applicant will be required to write a short report which will be included in Catapult - CatSIG's quarterly newsletter.
