LIANZA CatSIG online professional development talks 2023 - Call for presenters

Kia ora koutou, The LIANZA CatSIG Committee is planning a new online series of professional development talks for September-October 2023, and we’d love to hear from you! We are seeking people interested in presenting for session, lightning talks or discussion panels. All the talks will be held online via Zoom. We have sessions in the pipeline on the new RDA Toolkit and are looking for people to contribute to a panel session on how they use MarcEdit. Other topics our community are keen to hear about include: · Beginner’s cataloguing · Serials cataloguing · Music, cartographic, rare books and other specialist cataloguing · Māori subject headings · Vocabularies · Authority control · Ethics in cataloguing · And more! If you have other ideas for topics you might be interested is hearing about or presenting on, please let us know. Sessions are usually around 40 minutes in length, and 10-minute lightening talks are welcome also. If you are interested in presenting or getting involved, please email catsigcommittee@gmail.commailto:catsigcommittee@gmail.com by 16th June 2023 with an abstract. We look forward to hearing from you.
