13/249 Collection Description Librarian
Collection Services acquires and makes accessible material for the collections of the National Library and the Alexander Turnbull Library. The Serials Cataloguing Team is responsible for the description of serials and monographs-in-series in the collections. We are looking for a qualified librarian to join us at the National Library of New Zealand for a one year full time position. This person will assist with a retrospective cataloguing project, retrieving and describing New Zealand and Pacific monographs-in-series. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role if you: * Have previous cataloguing experience * Have the ability to analyse material and summarise content effectively * Enjoy problem solving If you have the following qualifications and are interested in this role we would like to hear from you: * A degree and a minimum of Level 5 Diploma in Information and Library Studies from the Open Polytechnic of New Zealand, OR * Professional registration through LIANZA.
