Maori Subject Headings Update and blog
Apologies for cross-posting Tena koutou katoa, The Maori Subject Headings Working Party met for the second time this year on 6 & 7 August. As planned at the May meeting, the group focused on some new headings requested in the area of health. There is one more meeting of the group planned before Christmas and the thesaurus will be updated with all 2009 changes in early 2010. At the 2009 LIANZA Conference there will be a workshop looking at the future development of the headings. We really want to generate some discussion so we've set up a blog to ask for your opinions on some of the big issues. Whether you are coming to Conference or not, we'd love to hear your thoughts, so please have a read and join the discussion by posting your comments and questions. Starting Monday 31st there will be a new question each week for four weeks, so spread the word, join in, and have your say.
