COMP 361 (2021) - Design and Analysis of Algorithms - COVID-19 Levels

This course is going to run as close to normal as possible at any alert level in 2021 with the following expectations:

  • Level 1
    • All lectures are in person (video recorded, not streamed live over Zoom).
    • All tutorials are in person (with special arrangements for the Zoom-only tutorial for those students who enrolled as remote at the start of the year.
    • All tests happen in the lecture theatres as scheduled (other than for the special remote group as before).
  • Level 2
    • All lectures are in person with reduced capacity and will be streamed live over Zoom.
    • Tutorials are in person with reduced capacity and streamed live over Zoom or done over Zoom depending on the tutor's choice.
    • All tests happen in the lecture theatres as scheduled but at much-reduced capacity with additional rooms and "special arrangements to do the test at the same time over Zoom with camera ON at all times for ad hoc proctoring by a staff member or tutor".
  • Level 3
    • All lectures are over Zoom at the scheduled times.
    • All tutorials are over Zoom at the scheduled times.
    • All tests happen over Zoom at the scheduled times as per the lecture scheduled with ad hoc proctoring with camera ON at all times by a staff member or tutor - arrangements and splits of class into relevant groups of 24 or 48 participants will be emailed out.
  • Level 4
    • All lectures are over Zoom at the scheduled times.
    • All tutorials are over Zoom at the scheduled times.
    • All tests happen over Zoom at the scheduled times as per the lecture scheduled with ad hoc proctoring with camera ON at all times by a staff member or tutor - arrangements and splits of class into relevant groups of 24 or 48 participants will be emailed out.
