Welcome to Control Systems Engineering

Stability issues video

Hi all,

So, the changes that we discussed on the engagement day have now been approved. Just to remind everyone, the changes are as follows:

The "old" assessment looked something like this -
  • Two Project Reports (counted equally)
    - Due: Weeks 6 and 12.
    - Weight: 20% (10% each)
  • Four Assignments (counted equally)
    - Due: Weeks 4,6,8 and 10.
    - Weight: 20% (5% each)
  • Test
    - Date: Week 7
    - Weight: 10%
  • Final Examination (3 hours)
    - Due: Examination Period
    - Weight: 50%

The new assessment will be -
  • Two Project Reports (counted equally)
    - Due: Weeks 6 and 12. (15/5 and 23/6)
    - Weight: 20% (10% each)
  • Four Assignments (counted equally)
    - Due: Weeks 4,6,8 and 10. (8/4, 15/5, 29/5 and 12/6)
    - Weight: 30%
However, as the first assignment has been handed out already,
it will remain 5%, the other 25% will be distributed evenly
    across the remaining 3 assignments.
  • Test 1
    - Date: Week 7 (19/5)
    - Weight: 25%
  • Test 2
    - Date: Week 11 (17/6)
    - Weight: 25%

There will also be a reduction in lecture content. Previously, we would have
spent a couple weeks on Nyquist diagrams, however, due to the interruption this
year, we will be reducing this content dramatically and it will not be assessed.

Please feel free to email me (or Will) if you have any questions about this.

Thanks,
Daniel
