Q: What to do if BlueJ becomes unresponsive?
A: Sometimes, often after not having properly closed a previous GUI first, BlueJ can "hang", i.e., become unresponsive to any input. In this case, use "Tools | Java Virtual Machine" -- or simply Ctrl-Shift R -- to reset the Java virtual machine. Afterwards, BlueJ will behave normally again.
