To submit your assignments, you need to log into online submission system with your ECS account. Your account has been already set up. You only need to set a password.

You must go to https://ecs.victoria.ac.nz/register and fill in the "Guest/Other" part of the identification screen.

Your username will be xmut_ and your ID, (for example: xmut_1712409121) and the activation code is your student-ID (for example 1712409121). Then you can set a password for your login.

Things You Must Already Know

The course assumes that you are familiar or have taken courses that have dealt with the following topics:

  • Binary representation of numbers
  • Basic logic or Boolean algebra
  • Computer program design
  • Java programming
Computer program design and Java programming are essentially covered in COMP 102 and COMP 103, courses that you should have taken prior to XMUT 241.
