Biography

Petko Petkov received his B.Sc. degree from the Technical University of Sofia in July 2002 and the M.Sc. degree from the Program in Wireless Systems at KTH in April 2005. From May to September 2005, he was a visiting researcher in the Transforms and Spectral Techniques Group at the Tampere University of Technology and from October to December of the same year held a similar position at the Sound and Image Processing Lab (SIP) at KTH. In January 2006, Petko joined Global IP Solutions working on development and optimization of algorithms for speech processing. In August 2007, he rejoined SIP, now as a PhD student. His research interests lie in the area of applied signal processing. Petko received the Texas Instruments Student and Loyalty Awards in 2005 and the Best Student Paper Award at QoMEX 2010.

Both at Victoria and at KTH Petko works with Prof Bastiaan Kleijn.
