Kia ora koutou, We are wanting to make local adjustments to some Library of Congress subject headings, I'm hoping to connect with any other Alma/Primo libraries that have done similar work, or are also looking into this. At the moment we are exploring the creation of local authorities in Alma. We are specifically wanting to adjust the Māori (New Zealand people) heading to Māori, and the Iwi headings from for example Kāi Tahu (New Zealand people) to Kāi Tahu (Māori people). If you've done any work in this space please do get in touch, or if you haven't yet but would be interested to hear about what solutions we come up with please also reach out.
