The agenda for this meeting is not currently available, though should be up on the RSC website shortly (www.rdatoolkit.org<http://www.rdatoolkit.org/>). Discussion of the Religions Working Group paper will be included in this meeting. There is also a newly released paper from the Extent Working Group (https://www.rdatoolkit.org/sites/default/files/uploads/RSC_ExtentWG_2024_1.…) but this will be discussed in November to allow sufficient time for consideration. The public session for this July meeting will be held for two hours on Tuesday 16 July 9pm-11pm CEST, which for us is on the morning of Wednesday 17 July starting at 3am AWST/5am AEST/7am NZST. These public sessions are not recorded, but are an opportunity to see the RSC's work for yourself and to be involved in the development of RDA. Ahead of that, the Religions Working Group have released a proposal to adjust instructions for the element Corporate body: preferred name of corporate body, to make them less Christian-based and more relevant to other religious communities. A survey of Library and Information Studies (LIS) undergraduate alumni We are inviting participation in this longitudinal study of the career paths and graduate perceptions of Open Polytechnic LIS graduates since they entered the workforce. There is a value to the profession as well as to our programmes, and we would be grateful for your participation. The OpenPolytechnic has been offering Library and Information Studies programmes for more than 25 years. We are calling on past and current students who have studied for a LIS qualification with the Open Polytechnic. We want to know what our students are doing now - exploring the career paths and graduate perceptions of our alumni to identify the most useful transferable skills, knowledge, and benefits of study. We are also keen to hear from those now in non-traditional roles outside the sector. Your participation may influence Open Polytechnic's future Library and Information studies (LIS) curriculum. Purpose:  Research questions:  Identify occupations and roles for our alumni (inside or outside the profession) 1. What occupations and roles have alumni been employed in, either within or outside the LIS professions, from graduation to the present day?  (Where are they now?).   What were the most useful skills, knowledge and benefits of study, alumni gained from their qualifications?  2. What transferable skills did alumni gain from their qualifications? 3. How might this influence future course planning?  4. Learn about the professional development needs of LIS professionals (including current views on micro-credentialling) 5. Determine level of interest in an Alumni association (kāhui ākonga onamata) for Open Polytechnic LIS graduates This is the link to the survey: https://forms.office.com/r/T4v7KZh1J3 The survey opens today and is available for two weeks and will close on the 1st of July 2024. The survey is anonymous.  Survey participants can enter a draw to win one of three $100 book vouchers. We would also like to hear more about your thoughts – if you would like to participate in an interview or a focus group, you can record your interest in the same way once the form has been submitted.   Please share this message with others who have studied with us, including those who may not be members of these lists. Kia ora koutou In February 2024, NLNZ cataloguers began the second phase of our Official RDA training. This phase began with three days of presentations, discussions, quizzes and interactive activities. The presentations and quizzes have been repackaged as Niche Academy tutorials and are now available on the NLNZ Niche Academy site. https://my.nicheacademy.com/natlib.gov.nz This second phase of training is a deeper dive into concepts preparing cataloguers for practical training. NLNZ cataloguers are now well into the practical phase of training and we are planning for implementation. The training resources for this practical training will be made available later in the year.
