Kia ora koutou, apologies for cross-posting.
Below is an invitation from Charlotte Christiansen to attend the public session of the next RDA Steering Committee meeting next week.
Ngā mihi,

CatSIG Committee
Kia ora,
Happy 2025 everyone, I hope you've had an enjoyable holiday period.
Next week is the January meeting for the RDA Steering Committee (RSC).
The public session falls for us on Thursday 23rd, 8am (NZDT)/6am (AEDT)/3am (AWST) which means a very early start for some and an almost-work-hours start for others.
There are no proposals or discussion papers on the agenda this time, but there will be a demonstration of the German cataloguing manual used by the DACH region (Germany, Austria & German-speaking Switzerland) in their implementation of Official RDA. This is a very different approach to that taken by National Library of New Zealand and may be of interest as a contrasting example of how communities are implementing Official RDA.
Please note that public sessions of RSC meetings are not recorded to watch later.
If you are interested in attending the session please email the RSC Secretary on rscsecretary(a)rdatoolkit.org<mailto:rscsecretary@rdatoolkit.org> to be included as an observer and to receive the relevant attendance information.
Ngā mihi,
Charlotte Christensen, MLIS, RLIANZA
Oceania region representative to the RDA Steering Committee
