Student Travel Grant

The AI 2018 Conference is pleased to offer a limited number of student travel grants to eligible and selected student authors who plan to come to the conference to present and publish an accepted paper at the Australasian Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence 2018 (AI 2018).

Who is eligible?

You must be the first authour of an accepted paper in the conference and a full-time student in an undergraduate or postgraduate program, and be willing to present your accepted paper at the AI 2018 conference.

How do I apply?

If you are eligible to apply, and you have received your official acceptance notification email from the AI 2018 program committee chairs. You have to send all the following information via email to Dr Yi Mei (yi.mei@ecs.vuw.ac.nz) by 5 October 2018, with the email subject as "AI2018 Student Grant Application".

  • A certified student ID (e.g. a scanned copy of ID card, or a letter from university/school stating s/he is a student);
  • The paper ID (for us to check easily);
  • Receipt of the registration.

When are grant applicants notified?

Grant applicants will be notified approximately two weeks after the application deadline.

How are grant recipients reimbursed?

Grant recipients must sign the reimbursement form at the conference registration desk during the conference. Reimbursements will be made by the Victoria University of Wellington (VUW) after the conference. The payment is subject to VUW payment schedule and you may expect 4-8 weeks.
