Kia ora koutou, **Reminder: this webinar is scheduled for next Tuesday 20th March, at 3 pm and there is still time to register!** As many of you know, the RDA Toolkit, a critical tool for resource description, is undergoing a major redesign and redevelopment, due to be released in June 2018. CatSIG are joining with the Australian Committee on Cataloguing (ACOC), the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) and ALA Publishing to bring you a *free* webinar to introduce the new Toolkit. This webinar is an important opportunity to catch a glimpse of the new look Toolkit's structure and functionality. Essential for current users of RDA, and also of interest to anyone considering implementing RDA in the future. The webinar will be presented by James Hennelly, who is the Director of the RDA Toolkit. He holds an MLIS degree from Dominican University and has spent most of his career working in both print and digital publishing. He joined the RDA Toolkit team in 2011. CatSIG is seeking new committee members

Kia ora koutou, We need more committee members! CatSIG is looking for some new committee members to join us for the busy and exiting year ahead. We need another ORDAC representative and another general committee member would be great too. ORDAC representative: The Oceania RDA Committee (ORDAC) has now been formally approved as the regional representative body for the Oceania Region on the RDA Steering Committee (RSC) and CatSIG is now expected to support three CatSIG representatives on ORDAC. We currently only have two CatSIG representatives and we seeking expressions of interest from people keen to join this international committee focused on developing and promoting the RDA standard. If you are interested, please send your expression of interest to catsigcommittee(a)gmail.com<mailto:catsigcommittee@gmail.com> by the 9th March 2018.
