Visualizing Micro-Mobility Transport in New Zealand

The last decade has seen an explosion in the popularity of “micro mobility” transport services. In Wellington alone both JUMP and Flamingo have launched e-Scooter services since the commencement of this project in early 2019. There is a lot of data that is generated by these services, and understanding this data can help improve and enhance the services these vendors provide, and harmonise these services with a local or national overall infrastructure plan. MicroVis is a web application dashboard with multiple visualisation widgets developed for the specific purpose of assisting in analysing such micro mobility data, and developing insights into such data.
