Camera Ready Instructions (now closed)
The camera-ready formatting requirements are essentially the same as the original submission (see "Author Instructions" below). The only difference is that author(s) need to include a copyright notice at the end of first column of the first page:
"This paper was published in the proceedings of the New Zealand Computer Science Research Student Conference (NZCSRSC) 2010. Copyright is held by the author/owner(s). NZCSRSC 2010, April 2010, Wellington, New Zealand"
- Please ensure you don't forget to add the appropriate ACM categories if you forgot to do so in your original submission.
- Note that if papers do not meet the guidelines provided above and those under "Author Instructions" below (including the ACM Style guidelines), then they will not be accepted into the conference.
- Due to some issues with the templates generating different page sizes for different people, please ensure your paper uses A4 paper size. To do this, in Word, set this in File->Page Setup->Paper->Paper Size; in LaTeX, try putting \usepackage{a4} in the .tex file preamble.
- Submission of your camera-ready copy is through Easychair Conference Management System. After logging in to Easychair and selecting your paper, choose to update your submission/submit a new version.
- Submit your source files as an attachment (in addition to the camera-ready pdf). When submitting, the source files should be collated in a .zip or .tgz file (.doc +.pdf files for Microsoft Word users, .tex + images + .pdf for LaTeX users).
All final camera ready copies (for both long and short papers) must be submitted by
12th March 2010.
Review Process (now closed)
The NZCSRSC is a peer reviewed conference. There is no blind-review this year; in other words, authors should mention their names, affiliation, address, and email address on their papers. By submitting a paper, each student author agrees to be a reviewer. For each paper an author submits, they will receive three papers to review during the review period. Each author will be presented with their papers to review at the beginning of the review period. In order to be able to review the assigned papers, authors will be invited to join the program committee on the Easy Chair submission system.
Easy Chair allows users to toggle between different roles. As an author you will be able to see your own submission. As a program committee member, you'll be able to view, download, and review the 3 papers assigned to you. Each author must review all 3 papers assigned to them using the review templates available on Easy Chair before the end of the review period. Following the completion of the review process, authors will be notified about their submission outcome.

Paper Submission (now closed)
We are now inviting submissions for full and short papers for the 8th New Zealand Computer Science Research Student Conference (NZCSRSC 2010), to be held in April 2010 at Victoria University of Wellington, Wellington.
Following these simple steps to make a submission:
- Please ensure your paper complies with the instructions provided below under "Author Instructions".
- Familiarize yourself with the "Topics of Interest", "Review Process", "Plagarism", and "Publication Status".
- Go to the NZCSRSC2010 Easy Chair login page.
- If you already have an EasyChair account, enter your details to login; otherwise set up an account through the "I do not have an EasyChair account" link.
- Once inside EasyChair, click the "New Submission" link at the top of the page.
- Fill out the "Address for Correspondence" fields.
- Enter all authors in the sections below this (make the primary author the first entry - they must also be a student). The "Affiliation" field refers to the institution at which you study.
- Tick all student authors as "Corresponding Authors". Corresponding authors will also be reviewers (see Review Process below).
- Fill out the Title, Abstract, Keywords, and Topics information as it relates to your paper.
- Specify appropriate keywords, as per the ACM keywords list.
- Click "Browse" to locate the PDF copy of your paper.
- Click "Submit Paper" (only once. Uploading file may take a while, kindly wait for the confirmation message before closing the window)
Author Instructions
Submissions will be accepted for:
- Full papers (with presentation) - not exceeding 8 pages
- Short papers (with poster) - not exceeding 4 pages
- All papers submitted must be in PDF format and follow the ACM Style guidelines (MS Word and Latex option 1).
Papers should include categories according to the
ACM taxonomy, which comprehensively covers the fields of computer science and software engineering. Keywords, on the other hand, should be a comma separated list of words of your own choosing (not necessarily from the taxonomy) describing your research.
Submissions related to research still in progress are welcome, and short papers on planned research are also acceptable. Previously published material is acceptable, provided that it is original work of the research student who presents it.
Papers extending work previously accepted in NZCSRSC conferences are also acceptable, provided the advancement is significant. If you are unsure whether this applies to you, please contact

Publication Status
These papers are work in progress. They are not archival publications and will not constrain future submissions. Your work in progress may be reused for later publications if appropriate. Copyright belongs to the author(s)/owner(s) of the paper. Note that this is a student conference reviewed by students.
Presentation
If accepted, the author (or one of the co-authors) should present their paper/poster personally at the conference.
